I was born in Cinco Saltos, a cozy little city up in northern Patagonia. It's a place with a cool geological backstory, tons of apple and pear trees, and loads of charm. Growing up, I was surrounded by these ancient rock formations from the Cretaceous period in the Neuquén Basin. It probably sparked my curiosity for rocks. As a kid, my grandpa and I would go on these "dinosaur hunts" in the gullies around town (the 'bardas'). We never struck gold, but it turns out those rocks were sitting just above the K-Pg boundary. Go figure, right?
